LFA 65 takes place at the Dobson Arena in Vail, Colorado, on Friday (May. 3, 2019) at 9 p.m. ET live on AXS TV. Former LFA title challenger Brandon Royval faces UFC veteran Joby Sanchez in the main event.
Royval (8-4) had his three-fight win streak snapped in his last fight when he suffered a unaimous decision setback to Casey Kenney at LFA 53 in November. The Colorado native has never lost back-to-back fights in his career. Sanchez (12-4) snapped a two-fight skid in his LFA debut back in January after defeating Demetrius Wilson by unanimous decision at LFA 58.

In the co-main event, Jose Mariscal faces Joanderson Brito in a featherweight bout.
Mariscal (9-3) is coming off a unnanimous decision win over Youssef Zalal at LFA 57, which pushed his winning streak to three-straight. Out of his three-career losses, two have been to current UFC fighters Gregor Gillespie and Bryce Mitchell. Brito (10-2-1) meanwhile makes his LFA and North American debut. He’s currently riding a eight-fight win streak.
