Five Props That Cashed Big at UFC on ESPN 9

Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC on ESPN 9 bets that cashed big based on the closing odds from across various sportsbooks.

1) Chris Gutierrez by TKO (+1050)

Chris Gutierrez teed off on Vince Morales’s lead leg, eventually forcing Morales to switch stances before Morales could no longer stand and the ref stopped the fight. Gutierrez by TKO was the clear prop of the night at +1050.

2) Brandon Royval wins in Round Two (+900)

Brandon Royval and Tim Elliott had some amazing scrambles in an action-packed first round, but Elliott began to fade in round two and Royval took over, eventually latching onto an arm triangle choke to force the tap. Royval’s second round victory was good for +900.

3) Roosevelt Roberts win in Round Two (+700)

Roberts looked good in the first round with some crisp stand-up exchanges, but it was his ground work that sealed the deal in the second round as Brok Weaver had no answer for his back attack. Roberts in round two closed at a cool +700.

4) Casey Kenny by Submission (+650)

Many expected Casey Kenny to defeat Louis Smolka, but no one thought he would finish him, especially in the first round with a guillotine choke barely three minutes into the fight. Kenny by submission paid +650.

5) Gilbert Burns wins by Decision (+550)

Heading into his first big main many thought Gilbert Burns would have trouble with five rounds because he’s slowed in the past in three-round fights, but he pushed a tremendous pace for 25 full minutes and dominated former champion Tyron Woodley to win a lopsided decision. Burns by decision closed at +550.

A $100 parlay on these five props would have made you a millionaire with $4,484,900.
