Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk Betting Selection

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is getting a treat as they play host to a history in the making fight when an undisputed heavyweight champion will be crowned for the first time since 1999.

Bet: Oleksandr Usyk (-105)

I am sure you can find a (+100) or a (+110) out there on Usyk but, this is the best line available to me.

It is definitely a close bout but I like the Ukrainian to get his hand raised this weekend. I think Usyk is just too savvy and very elite in all aspects of the game which should be enough to get the job done.

Fury should have his moments here and there but ultimately, I do not think it will be sufficient. He has also lost a significant amount of weight and slimmed down and I understand why – he is wanting to be light on his feet, match the speed of Usyk, and have the pace to keep up with him. The lighter frame of Tyson Fury could end up playing into Usyk’s benefit as he will not be able to clinch and put all his weight on Usyk.

I do believe Usyk is the better fighter here – he moves very well out of the southpaw stance with angles and being able to move inside Fury’s range to use his jab, which is an excellent one. My belief is he will begin to frustrate Fury the longer the fight goes and as Usyk gets more comfortable with his timing and being able to neutralize anything Fury tries to come back with. Fury’s eye tissue which has been an issue in the past could come into play here as he is prone to getting that split open. It will be a very technical fight throughout so a Usyk decision win is something I have penciled in.

Thanks for reading and best of luck!
