The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) went to Cleveland, OH for the first time in promotional history with UFC 203: Miocic vs Overeem. The solid night of action saw 60 percent of bouts end inside the distance, culminating with the hometown favorite Miocic keeping his belt in Cleveland with a victory. Following the night of scraps in Ohio, let’s take a look at which of Saturday’s competitors we may no longer see in action inside the Octagon… ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK Jessica Eye Eye dropped a razor thin split decision to former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Bethe “Pitbull” Correia at this past Saturday night’s UFC 203 and is now on a four-fight losing streak inside the Octagon, going 1-4-1 NC with the promotion. I think it is practically a sure thing that she will be receiving her walking papers from the UFC. I believe that is the right call and don’t think she deserves to stay in the big show; not after her last two performances, where she has been very inactive, giving the fights away. Sean Spencer Spencer is now 1-4 in his last five outings inside the Octagon and riding a three-fight losing streak following UFC 203’s second-round rear naked choke submission loss to the Hawaiian Yancy Medeiros. One of the losses was a controversial decision loss to Cathal Pendred, but it still does not look good for him. He had an opportunity to finish Pendred early in that bout, but a lack of killer instinct allowed the Irishman to recover and ultimately take the fight on the scorecards. I think there is a good chance Spencer will now be getting released from the promotion considering he has lost three straight, and the three wins he has in the UFC have all come by decision. For his next bout, I think there’s a good chance we see Spencer back in Bellator, where he is 1-0.
