UFC Fight Night 81’s Tim Boetsch: ‘It’ll be tough for Ed Herman to break his old habits’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 81 light heavyweight Tim Boetsch as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout this Sunday night (January 17, 2016) against Ed Herman at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The former Ultimate Fighter season 10 contestant believes his athleticism and speed will make a huge difference in this fight, and he could do some serious damage not just to Travis Browne physically, but also mentally:

“You kind of know what you’re dealing with. [Ed Herman’s] a guy who likes to walk to the center of the ring and throw heavy hands and mix it up. I’ve trained with him in the past. He came out to Matt Hume’s  and we did some training together. I’ve seen him fight first hand and we’ve fought on a couple cards together so I kind of know what I’m dealing with. I’ve heard he’s more jiu-jitsu focused for this one and maybe he’ll think of dragging it down, but it’ll be tough for Ed Herman to break his old habits of coming out and throwing down.”
