Opening MMA Odds for Bellator 88 (Updated)

Bellator MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas today officially opened up the MMA odds for Thursday’s Bellator 88 event through Several Bookmakers. Here are the opening odds for the middleweight title title bout between Alexander Shlemenko and Maiquel Falcao, as well as the four featherweight tournament bouts. Maiquel Falcao +160 Alexander Shlemenko -210 ————————— Akop Stepanyan +250 Marlon Sandro -350 ————————— Mitch Jackson +160 Mike Richman -210 ————————— Magomedrasul Khasbulaev +250 Fabricio Guerreiro -350 ————————— Genair da Silva +160 Alexandre Bezerra -210 ————————— Adam’s Analysis: This is a pretty tough card to break down, because all of the matchups should be competitive despite the betting lines being what they are. As far as making plays go, I did like Alexander Shlemenko at -210 but the public has bet him all the way up to -285 now, making the fight almost unbettable. As well, Marlon Sandro had some value at -350 but now that he’s at -475 it’s probably best to just stay away. Honestly, this is almost a card where I’m tempted to bet on some of the underdogs. I’ll be coming out with my detailed picks for the two top-billed fights tomorrow, so check back then to see what my final recommendations will be.
