MMA Betting Odds and Ends for Friday: All UFC on FOX 6 fighters make weight

UFC-On-Fox-6 All 22 fighters made weight today for Saturday night’s UFC on FOX 6 event. Here’s what each fighter weighed in at, in pounds, starting with the top of the bill: Demetrious Johnson (125) vs. John Dodson (126) Glover Teixeira (206) vs. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (204) Anthony Pettis (155) vs. Donald Cerone (155) Erik Koch (145) vs. Ricardo Lamas (145) Matt Wiman (156) vs. TJ Grant (155) Hatsu Hioki (146) vs. Clay Guida (146) Mike Stumpf (170) vs. Pascal Krauss (171) Ryan Bader (205) vs. Vladimir Matyushenko (205) Mike Russow (256) vs. Shawn Jordan (251) Rafael “Sapo” Natal (185) vs. Sean Spencer (185) Simeon Thoresen (171) vs. David Mitchell (171) Jones reveals potential move to heavyweight in the future UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones today took part in a fan question and answer session ahead of UFC on FOX 6, and he had some interesting comments when asked about a potential move to heavyweight. According to Jones, he does intend to move to the UFC heavyweight division sometime in late 2013 or 2014. The champ says he’s been thinking about the move for a while but, with so many challengers at 205 waiting in the wings for him, it would be surprising if if happened this year. Still, the 6-4 Jones is growing into his frame more and more every day so do not be surprised if he’s fighting the big boys at 265 next year, and it will be interesting to see how he does against them. First, though, he defends his title against Chael Sonnen at UFC 159 this April. Sadollah vs. “Wonderboy” booked for Memorial Day weekend event UFC welterweights Amir Sadollah and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson have agreed to fight each other this May at the UFC’s annual Memorial Day weekend event, according to Dave Doyle of MMAFighting.com. The UFC hasn’t officially announced this event yet, but it’s expected to take place in Las Vegas as usual. Both Thompson and Sadollah are coming off losses to Matt Brown and Dan Hardy, respectively, and need to get a win here in order to prove they belong in the UFC. Both men are excellent technical strikers so we can expect a standup fight here, and it might just come down to who lands first.
