Unsatisfied Daron Cruickshank: ‘I’d like to fight KJ Noons again’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with recent TUF 20 Finale lightweight Daron Cruickshank about his controversial no contest against KJ Noons, his recovery from a torn tear duct and how the new Reebok deal affects him personally.

The talented Ultimate Fighter season 15 veteran appeared to be on his way to winning his bout against Noons before the accidental eye poke ended the fight, and he feels he has some unfinished business:

“I feel unsatisfied. It’s like you get ready for a fight and say somebody gets injured two days before the fight and boom, you go up and up and up in training and you’re just left like you almost got blue balls. You go into a depression. I’d like to fight [KJ Noons] again. I’m not satisfied with what happened. I know I can break him down and beat him up and knock him out. I’d like to show the fans that that’s what was going to happen. Do they give me the fight? I was dominating the fight. Sean Shelby and Joe Silva might be thinking, ‘Well Daron was going to win the fight anyways, let’s give him somebody else.’ We’ll see. The only way KJ would win is if he got lucky.”
