Invicta FC 10 Closing Odds & Results

Roxanne-Modafferi Invicta FC 10 took place tonight in Houston, Texas, and the card overall featured a number of underdogs pulling off the upset, including a shocker in the main event. Overall from a betting perspective, four favorites and four underdogs won based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Here’s a quick recap for each fight. Underdogs That won In the main event of the evening, Herica Tiburcio defeated Michelle Waterson via third-round submission (guillotine choke) to become the new Invicta FC atomweight champion. Waterson won the first two rounds but made a rookie error in the third, leaving her neck exposed for a choke and Tiburcio took advantage by finishing her with a guillotine. Tiburcio scored at +600 (bet $100 to win $600) while Waterson lost at -1050 (bet $1050 to win $100). In a women’s bantamweight bout, Roxanne Modafferi defeated Andrea Lee via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27). Modafferri used her wrestling to take this fight to the ground and beat up Lee to get the upset win. Modafferi was +700 while Lee was -1300. In a women’s featherweight bout, Peggy Morgan defeated Andria Wawro via unanimous decision (30-27 x 2, 29-28). This was a competitive fight but Morgan controlled Wawro according to the judges to get the win. Morgan was +140 while Wawro was -170. In a women’s flyweight bout, Rachael Ostovich defeated Evva Johnson via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28). Ostovich was the superior striker throughout and survived a late scare by Johnson to win the bout. She scored as a +100 dog while Johnson lost at -140. Favorites That Won In a women’s bantamweight bout, Tonya Evinger defeated Cindy Dandois via second-round submission (armbar). Evinger got this fight to the ground and didn’t let him en route to an impressive finish. Evinger was -800 while Dandois was +500. In a women’s flyweight bout, Deanna Bennett defeated Jennifer Maia via unanimous decision (30-27 x 2, 29-28). This was a competitive fight and most thought Maia should have won but Bennett was able to apparently outpoint her for the W. Bennett was -390 while Maia was +300. In a women’s strawweight bout, Alexa Grasso defeated Alida Gray via first-round TKO (punches). Grasso and Gray got into a brawl but Grasso was the one who proved victorious with a brutal finish to end it early. Grasso was -1300 while Gray was +700. In a women’s atomweight bout, Jihn Yu Frey defeated Cassie Robb via first-round submission (rear-naked choke). Frey took Robb’s back early in the fight and choked her out for a win. Robb was +450 while Frey was -750.
