Gabe Killian’s Parlay for OneFC 21

marat-gafurovOneFC 21 Date: October 17, 2014 Arena: Stadium Putra City: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia OneFC returns tomorrow morning with OneFC 21, the event will be broadcasted live at OneFC.com starting 7:30am ET. If interested in making this parlay, or any other wagers for this OneFC 21, you will be able to do so at Several Bookmakerss. Here’s my parlay for OneFC 21: Featherweight bout: Marat Gafurov (-475) vs Rob Lisita (+325) Gabe’s Thoughts: To put it simply, Gafurov is just the better fighter in this scrap. I expect him to have no problem taking Lisita down to the mat, where he will control him for the majority of 15 minutes of action, en route to picking up a one-sided unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. This fight should be a walk in the park for the Russian, and even at the heavy-juiced price of -475, I see enough value in him to include him as the first leg of my two way parlay for OneFC 21. Gabe’s Call: Gafurov by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-25) Bantamweight bout: Edward Kelly (+135) vs Ev Ting (-175) Gabe’s Thoughts: This is a fight between a Filipino and a Malaysian, and with the fight being in Malaysia, Ting will have the hometown advantage over Kelly, which is partially the reason he is the betting favorite here. Aside from the hometown advantage, I think Ting also has a grappling advantage over Kelly. I feel when the fight hits the mat, which it very likely will, that Ting will be able to secure a submission over Kelly. I think he has the superior Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu game, and even if put on his back, will be able to submit Kelly with an armbar or triangle; possibly even a leg-lock. To compliment his skills on the mat, the Malaysian holds his own on the feet. He has a good chin, heavy hands, vicious elbows and loves to brawl. If the fight hits the judges’ scorecards, I think Ting will have done enough to earn the nod. I think he should be a -300 favorite in this match-up, so at the current price of -175, I like him for the second leg to this two teamer. Training out of Auckland MMA in Auckland, New Zealand, I believe Ting is the superior fighter of the two heading into this match-up and think it is his fight to lose. Gabe’s Call: Ting by Submission (armbar, 1:13 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Gafurov (-475) parlayed with Ting (-175) for -111 4.6u to win 4.15u
