Favorites That Won In the main event of the evening, Joe Warren defeated Rafael Silva via unanimous decision to become the interim Bellator bantamweight champion. The former featherweight champ lost the first two rounds and looked like he was well on his way to losing the fight, but he came on strong in the last three rounds and earned the win with his patented wrestling. The champ scored as a -195 favorite (bet $195 to win $100), while Silva lost as a +180 underdog (bet $100 to win $180). In a welterweight tournament semifinal, Andrey Koreshkov defeated Justin Baesman via first-round KO (flying knee). Koreshkov’s standup is just so good and he easily won this fight with a beautiful, violent knockout over a clearly overmatched opponent. Koreshkov cashed at a massive -2600, while Baesman lost at +1200. Koreshkov now fights Adam McDonough in the welterweight tournament finals. In a bantamweight bout, Marcos Galvao defeated Thomas Vasquez via unanimous decision. Although Galvao didn’t look good in the standup department, his wrestling was on point and he easily controlled the fight on the ground for the win. Galvao scored as a -660 favorite, while Vasquez lost as a +540 dog. In a light heavyweight quarterfinal, Liam McGeary defeated Mike Mucitelli via first-round KO (punch). McGeary made this one easy, nailing Mucitelli with a huge left hook early in round one and getting the stoppage victory. He cashed out as a -255 favorite, while Mucitelli lost as a +235 dog. McGeary now moves on to the light heavyweight tournament semifinals. In a featherweight fight, Darrion Caldwell defeated Joe Pingitore via first-round submission (rear-naked choke). The young and talented prospect picked up the win in less than two minutes in what was a tremendous performance and he has a bright future in the Bellator cage. Caldwell cashed at a ridiculous -2300, while Pingitore lost at +1100.
