UFC 168 ‘Submission of the Night’ Betting Props

Sarah-KaufmanUFC 168 ‘Submission of the Night’ Betting Props UFC 168 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, N.V. has a fight card with 11 scheduled bouts and possibly a number of submissions. After the fights have concluded, the UFC will be awarding a $50,000 ‘Submission of the Night’ bonus for the most exciting tapout of the evening. To place a wager on this prop, or any others for UFC 168, you may do so at Several Bookmakerss. I believe the top condenders for this prize are: Ronda Rousey +110 — There is a very good chance that Rousey finishes Tate with a submission, most likely her signature armbar. If that does happen, then unless there’s an amazing submission elsewhere on the card, Rousey should take home the prize. Fabricio Camoes +2000 — Camoes is talented in the submission game, and I could see him tapping Miller, especially in the tail end of the fight, when Miller is low on gas. I’m not saying it is likely to happen, but at +2000, I think there is enough value for a stab. Jim Miller +900 — Miller is a very skilled Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who owns a submission victory over submission ace Charles Oliveira, and could likely pull one off against Camoes. If you are really behind Miller in this match-up, then this is a prop you should probably be looking at for a stab. Should Miller get his hand raised, I would say it is more likely that he wins a decision, but +900 warrants a stab at the submission prop. Again, only if you are confidently backing him, which I am not. I am personally liking the value with Camoes. The New Jersey native already owns three ‘Submission of the Night’ awards in his time with the UFC. Dustin Poirier +850 — Poirier is not superior to Brandao on the mat, but I think he is good enough to pull off a submission, especially in later rounds when Brandao runs out of gas. He generally displays poor cardio, and came in eight pounds over the featherweight limit for this bout, so it is not a good sign for him. I cannot blame anybody for hitting this prop at +850, as it won’t be a surprise at all if Poirier gets the tap. “The Diamond” already owns one ‘Submission of the Night’ bonus in the UFC. Gabe’s ‘SOTN’ Plays: Ronda Rousey (+110) 2u to win 2.2u, although I am hoping for a knockout, so I could cash the T/KO prop (around +1400 last I checked). Also: Fabricio Camoes (+2000) .25u to win 5u
