UFN 33’s Ryan Bader: ‘I could even submit Anthony Perosh’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 33 light heavyweight Ryan Bader as he prepares for his main card bout this weekend (Dec. 7, 2013) against Anthony Perosh at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

The former Ultimate Fighter season eight winner is coming off a tough TKO loss to Glover Teixeira, but he is still brimming with confidence heading into this upcoming bout against the veteran Perosh.

“His stand-up is mediocre. It’s kind of a little wild and that’s what you have to watch out for. He doesn’t really do things right, and you can get caught with something you’re not supposed to be caught with because he does’t react the way you expect if you’re setting something up. I’ve been training with Ryan Jimmo at Power MMA and he fought him two fights ago and knocked him out in seven seconds. Perosh knocked out Vinny Magalhaes so he does have power in his hands. I feel anywhere this fight goes, I’m fine. If I want to take him down, I can do that. If I want to keep it on the feet, I’m fine and even in the jiu-jitsu world, I can hang with him and I can even submit him.”
