UFC 167’s Johny Hendricks: ‘It’s not if, but when my left hand connects’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 167 welterweight title challenger Johny Hendricks as he prepares for his main event bout on Saturday night (Nov. 16, 2013) against Georges St. Pierre at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Team Takedown fighter understands exactly what he needs to do to find success against the reigning, defending champion, and it all revolves around his nasty left hand.

“I know I have the power. It’s not if, but when it connects. Every fight, everyone knows I’ve got a left hand and every fight it connects. That’s the way I’m going with this. I know what I need to do. I know what I need to do to win and the left hand plays a huge factor in this because it can keep him at bay. Sort of like his left jab keeps people at bay, my left hand, if you don’t keep it at bay, it could be the end of the night.”
