Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 154:
- The vacant LFA middleweight title is on the line when Lucas Fernando takes on Jansey Silva. Fernando is riding a three-fight win streak in LFA with two of those wins coming by way of knockout. Since turning pro in 2017, six of his eight wins have come by stoppage, and he’s only suffered one career loss. As for Silva, he won his last fight to bounce back following a submission defeat to Gadzhi Omargadzhiev on Dana White’s Contender Series. Since turning pro in 2017, five of his eight wins have come by knockout. Both of these fighters love knocking their opponents out, so fans should expect an explosive matchup in this bout. Fernando is the favorite here according to the oddsmakers, but Silva has a puncher’s chance as well.
- In the co-main event, Eduardo Neves battles Hyago Silva for the vacant LFA heavyweight title. Neves has won all six of his career victories by knockout, including two knockouts in LFA. His only loss came against Mick Parkin on Dana White’s Contender Series. As for Silva, he is unbeaten in his MMA career with five finishes and he has a 1-0-1 record in LFA. Both guys are solid heavyweights, but Neves opened up as the betting favorite according to the bookies.
