RFA 11’s Matt Manzanares: ‘I’ll be ready as soon as UFC calls me’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with RFA 11 flyweight Matt Manzanares as he prepares for his headlining bout tonight (Nov. 22, 2013) against Zach Makovsky at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.

The Cheyenne, Wyoming native is hoping to earn a shot with Ultimate Fighting Championship should he get past the former Bellator bantamweight champion later tonight.

“I know my management has spoken with UFC and Sean Shelby. They’ve been looking at me for a while and they want me to get a few more wins, a few more noticeable wins under my belt which is perfectly fine and understandable. I’ll be ready as soon as they call me. That’s been my dream ever since I started fighting, to be in the UFC. Whenever they decide to call my number, I’ll be ready.”
