Bellator 269 Emelianenko vs Johnson Prop Betting Selection

Fedor first announced retirement after his bout with Pedro Rizzo way back in June of 2012 but, somehow here we are getting ready for his eighth bout this weekend since that was said. Fedor will be competing against Timothy Johnson in the main event of Bellator 269 this Saturday night.

Now 45 years old the Russian legend known as “The Last Emperor” is looking to score another victory inside the Bellator cage this weekend. I am not entirely confident in his ability to complete this task as Fedor is clearly not the same menacing figure as he once was at the peak of his career in Pride. To his credit Fedor has grabbed a few solid finishes against the likes of Rampage Jackson, Chael Sonnen, and Frank Mir in the past several years while also losing to Ryan Bader and Matt Mitrione inside the distance in between those fights.

Tim Johnson is more of just a big heavyweight that packs big power behind his punches. It would take only one clean shot by him to put anyone’s lights out. I am picking Timothy Johnson to score the knockout victory this weekend due to his better durability, age, and most likely advantage to land first and hurt Fedor. Though this is the heavyweight division and really anything can happen when two big men are swinging with reckless abandon. So I would not be surprised if we saw Fedor turn back the clock once more with a knockout victory but I do have to side with Timothy Johnson in this fight – most likely by a first round stoppage.

Prop: Timothy Johnson wins by TKO In Round 1 (+315)
