Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 127:

  • The main event of Cage Warriors 127 sees Nathan Fletcher against Dominuiqe Wooding for the vacant CWFC bantamweight title. Fletcher is unbeaten in his MMA career with a 6-0 record and all of his wins coming by way of stoppage. Just 23 years old, Fletcher appears to be someone who could eventually end up in the UFC. As for his opponent, Wooding is 7-4 and he is a veteran of both CWFC and Bellator. Wooding is coming off of a head kick knockout win in his last fight that snapped a two-fight losing skid, but he appears to be in over his head here against Fletcher. Look for Fletcher to win this fight and take the belt, most likely via stoppage.
  • The co-main event of this card sees Kurban Khizriev against Josh Reed. Khizriev is unbeaten with a 4-0 record, but he hasn’t fought since 2015. As for Reed, he is a Cage Warriors veteran who lost his last fight in the promotion. Khizriev being favored makes sense here since he’s an unbeaten fighter, but with him having not fought in six years, it makes him difficult to back in this matchup. I actually think it’s dog-or-pass just based on the fact that Khizriev hasn’t stepped into the cage in such a long time, so I think Reed is a live dog in this fight.
