Lomachenko vs Nakatani Prop Betting Selection

We will be entering the matrix again this weekend as one of the best boxers in the world is making his return after an eight month layoff.

Vasyl Lomachenko has been dubbed “The Matrix” for his incredible defensive skills and pin-point accuracy on his combos. We have not seen him compete since his first professional loss last October as he lost his WBA (Super), WBO, and The Ring lightweight titles to now unified champion Teofimo Lopez. Lomachenko lost the early rounds but came back strong in the later half but still lost a unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards.

While I think this is a rebound fight for Lomachenko, I’m not convinced we will see him completely run over Nakatani this weekend. Much like Lomachenko, Nakatani has just one loss on his record and it comes against the same fighter: Teofimo Lopez in a unanimous decision loss. Nakatani made it a competitive fight just like Lomachenko did, but it was the power and speed of Lopez that saw him get his hand raised.

While I believe the early rounds of this fight may be close, we will start to see the widening of the skill gap as the fight progresses when Lomachenko starts to figure out the timing of Nakatani and “downloads” his opponent’s skillset like we have seen many times in the past.

Nakatani is a very durable fighter in his own right with solid speed and a tough jab, but I am confident in a now healthy Lomachenko to pick up a solid victory by decision this weekend as he hopes to score a rematch with his rival Teofimo Lopez sometime in the near future.

Prop: Vasyl Lomachenko Wins By Decision (+105)
