Five Props That Cashed Big at UFC Fight Island 3

Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC Fight Island 3 bets that cashed big based on the closing odds from across various sportsbooks.

1) Jesse Ronson by Submission (+1770)

Having gone 0-3 in his previous stint in the UFC, no one was giving Jesse Ronson a chance against Nicolas Dalby on short notice and up a weight class, but Ronson stunned onlookers when he dropped Dalby, pounced on him and choked him out in the first round of their match-up. Ronson by submission was the prop of the night at +1770.

2) Francisco Trinaldo wins in Round Three (+1500)

Francisco Trinaldo doesn’t have a ton of finishes in the UFC, and he was having a back-and-forth scrap against Jai Herbert, but the bout ended early in the third round when Trinaldo landed a perfect right hand that forced a delayed knockdown and eventual finish. Trinaldo’s third round finish was good for a sweet +1500.

3) Fabricio Werdum wins in Round One (+1000)

Very few people thought Fabricio Werdum would be able to beat Alexander Gustafsson, whether alone finish him in the first round, but Werdum was able to drag the Swede to the canvas, where latched on an armbar to force a tap. Werdum in round one closed at a cool +1000.

4) Tanner Boser wins in Round Two (+750)

Who says Boser doesn’t have power? After only finishing two of his last 14 fights, Boser has now put away back-to-back opponents with his second round TKO of Rafpael Passoa on Saturday. Boser in round two paid +750.

5) Brett Johns by Decision (+450)

Alex Oliveira has power and some good submission skills, so he had decent plus money when his fight against veteran Peter Sobotta went the distance, which Oliveira won handily. Oliveira by decision closed at +300.

A $100 parlay on these five props would have made you a multi-millionaire with $11,198,980.
