UFC 250 Closing Odds and Fight Results

UFC 250 took place Saturday, June  6, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card was headlined by an women’s featherweight bout between champion Amanda Nunes and challenger Felicia Spencer.

Closing odds are courtesy of two of the most popular Las Vegas based sportsbooks: SuperBookUSA and Circa Sports. Here’s a quick recap of each of those fights.

Favorites that Won

In the main event, Amanda Nunes cruised to a one-sided five round decision over Felicia Spencer to retain her featherweight title. Nunes was the favorite at -520 while Spencer was +410

Cody Garbrandt controlled the striking exchanges against Raphael Assuncao, then knocked the Brazilian out cold in the final second of the second round to end his three-fight losing streak. Garbrandt was a -155 favorite while Assuncao was +135

Aljamain Sterling scored an early takedown, advanced to Cory Sandhagen’s back and choked him out early in the first round to win what many thought was a title eliminator. Sterlingodriguez was -115 while Sandhagen was -105

It wasn’t the most entertaining scrap, but Neil Magny outlander Tony Martin and clearly won the third round to win a decision. Magny closed -138 while Martin closed +118

Sean O’Malley continues to drop jaws as he scored a fantastic walkoff knockout against former WEC champion Eddie Winelamd. O’Malley closed -520 with the return on Winelamd +410

Ian Heinisch clipped Gerald Meerschaert on the feet, hurting him badly and he followed up with a bevy of ground strikes to earn a TKO. Heinisch was a -142 favorite while Meerschaert was +122

In a featherweight scrap, Cody Stamann outworked Brian Kelleher over the course of three rounds to take a unanimous decision. Stamann came through as a -210 favorite while Kelleher was a +180 underdog.

Alex Perez chewed up Jussier Formiga’s legs, eventually scoring a second round leg kick TKO victory. Perez was -135. Forkiga was +115

Herbert Burns quickly got the fight to the canvas against Evan Dunham and he latched onto a Chile to force a two early in the first round. Burns  was a -250 favorite. Dunham was +215

 

Underdogs that Won

In the main event of the prelims, Alex Caceres kept the fight standing and put on a striking clinic against an overmatched Chase Hooper en route to winning a one-sided decision. Caceres closed +185. Hooper closed -215

Mark Pitolo swarmed Charles Byrd with combinations and didn’t let up even as the fight hit the ground to earn a TKO victory. Pitolo closed +140 while Byrd was -160

Devin Clark showcased his well-rounded skillset en route to a unanimous decision victory over Alonzo Menifield. Clark closed +200 while Menifield closed -235
