LFA 61 Opening Betting Odds

LFA 61 takes place at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota on Friday (Feb. 22, 2019) at 10pm ET live on AXS TV. Middleweight champion Brendan Allen makes the first defense of his title against Moses Murrietta.

Allen (10-3) captured the vacant middleweight title – left by UFC middleweight Ian Heinisch – after defeating Tim Hiley by TKO at LFA 61. The 23-year-old has lost three times in his career and all of those losses have come to fighters currently competing in the UFC’s middleweight division – Trevin Giles, Eryk Anders and Anthony Hernandez. The Roufusport product has won three of his last four fights.

Murrietta (8-1) carries a three-fight win streak into his first title fight for LFA. The 29-year-old is coming off a TKO win over Sidiah Parker at LFA 54 back in November and hasn’t gone the distance in a fight since May 2017.

In the co-main event, top welterweight prospect Brandon Jenkins faces Mike Plazola

Jenkins (12-6) is coming off a TKO win over Luke Dwaltney at LFA 41 last June. “The Human Highlight Reel” is 2-2 in his last four fights, suffering setbacks to former LFA champion Robert Watley and Alliance MMA standout Jeff Peterson.

Plazola (16-9) heads into his LFA debut off back-to-back victories, including a second round submission win over Cody Rice at Alaska FC 41. The 33-year-old holds wins over Contender Series veteran Peter Petties and top lightweight prospect Anthony Baccam.
