Legacy FC 63 Opening Betting Odds

legacy-fc-63If Bellator and Titan FC aren’t enough to satiate your appetite for MMA on Friday night, the final event in the history of Legacy FC will also be taking place. In January, the Texas-based promotion will be merging with RFA (who will be holding their final solo event next Friday) to create the largest developmental promotion in the US. Prior to that however, the organization has one more card to go through, and there are some familiar names competing on it. Gerald Harris will make his return to MMA after more than three years away from the sport. The former UFC, DREAM, WSOF, and Titan fighter last competed in August 2013 in a winning effort at WSOF 4. He’ll be taking on an opponent in a similar position — although without the high-level experience. Aaron Cobb last fought in March 2013, and has spent nearly his entire career on the Arkansas regional scene. The winner of the welterweight co-main event between Bilal Williams and Trey Houston would have likely been in line for a shot at the vacant Legacy 170lb belt. However, with the merger, they may instead represent Legacy against a welterweight from the current RFA roster to determine the first LFA welterweight champion. Williams suffered a submission loss in his last appearance, tapping with just a second to go in a round to lose, while Houston’s last appearance was in the semifinals of the BattleGrounds MMA tournament back in 2014. The other bout of note on Legacy FC 63 is in the bantamweight division. Once highly touted prospect Jimmy Flick is attempting to rebuild his career after a failed Legacy title opportunity and several cancelled bouts saw him compete just once from 2013-15. He’s 1-1 thus far in 2016, but has been fighting up in weight and is as close to his natural weight as he’s been since he took on Will Campuzano for the Legacy title back in 2012. Another youngster, Levi Mowles — who jumped up to featherweight to compete against Damon Jackson in his last outing — will be looking to rebound from his first loss as well. MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting odds for the top two bouts at Legacy FC 63 today at Several Bookmakers.
