Bellator 154 Closing Odds and Results

Phil DavisBellator was back in action last night (Saturday, April 22, 2016) for its 154th event. The event was devastated by injuries and the tragedy of Jordan Parsons, but the show must go on, and they managed a pretty entertaining night of scraps overall. Overall on the night, four betting favorites were victorious while zero underdogs picked up wins based on Several Bookmakers‘s closing odds. Bellator 154 Favorites That Won In the main event of the evening, UFC veteran Phil Davis scored the biggest victory of his career with a unanimous decision victory over Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal. Davis utilized strong kicks from the outside to score points early and managed to hurt Lawal late in the third round but was content to earn a nod from the judges. Davis was -220 (Bet $220 to win $100) while Lawal closed at +200 (Bet $100 to win $200). In the co-main event of the evening, Saad Awad moved up to the welterweight division and put a hurting on recently victorious underdog Evangelista Santos. Just like in his last fight, Santos looked for a leg lock on the ground, but Awad was savvier than Brennan Ward, rolling out of danger and then pummeling Santos with heavy strikes on the canvas to earn a TKO victory in the first round. Awad pulled through as a -235 favorite while Santos failed to win as a +215 underdog. In a lightweight bout, Adam Piccolotti did what Adam Piccolotti does best, finishing opponent Ray Wood via first round submission. It was the fourth submission victory for Piccolotti in his last five bouts. Piccolotti came through as a -430 betting favorite while Wood was defeated as a +380 underdog. In the opening bout of the main card, welterweight Andre Fialho obliterated Rick Reger, dropping Reger repeatedly with right hands and the ref had seen enough to put a halt to the action just over two minutes into the first round. Fialho proved worthy of his hefty -410 favorite price while Reger was a +365 dog. Bellator 153 Underdogs that Won   None
