Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC 231 bets that cashed big based on the closing odds from across various sportsbooks.

1) Jack Hermansson by Submission (+840)

In the biggest prop cash of the night, Jack Hermansson submitted an opponent who is usually doing the submitting when he beat Gerald Meerschaert inside of round one. Bettors rejoiced with a +840 cash.

2)  Al Iaquinta by Decision (+750)

In the night’s main event, Al Iaquinta forced Kevin Lee to stand with him and it paid immensely as he battered Lee in the final round to cement his claim on the fight and earn a decision for the biggest win of his career. Iaquinta decision backers were paid +750.

3) Zak Ottow by Decision (+440)

Zak Ottow did just enough to edge out a split decision victory over Dwight Grant in a fight where he only landed 14 significant strikes. Ottow by decision closed +440.

4) Edson Barboza by Knockout (+400)

With how durable his opponent is, knockout bettors were concerned their Barboza tickets wouldn’t cash. However, Barboza landed to the body in the third round to hurt Dan Hooker and the referee was forced to step in to end the fight. Barboza knockout bettors received a +400 payout.

5) Joaquim Silva by Knockout (+285)

In the night’s fight of the night, Joaquim Silva ended up in a wild fight with Jared Gordon and stunned the crowd in the final round when he was able to put away Gordon to get the win. Silva by knockout paid +285.

A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $830,461.
