UFC lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos injured, out of UFC 196 fight against Conor McGregor According to MMAFighting, Rafael dos Anjos is out of his main event fight against Conor McGregor next week due to a foot injury. Also in the report, it mentions that the UFC is currently working on finding a replacement to fight McGregor. With Dos Anjos off the card, here’s an updated look at UFC 196 which goes down March 5th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Here’s an updated look at the card Main Card Conor McGregor (19-2) vs. TBA Holly Holm (10-0) vs. Miesha Tate (17-5) Gian Villante (14-6) vs. Ilir Latifi (11-4, 1NC) Corey Anderson (8-1) vs. Tom Lawlor (9-5, 1NC) Amanda Nunes (11-4) vs. Valentina Shevchenko (12-1) Preliminary Card Brandon Thatch (11-3) vs. Siyar Bahadurzada (21-6-1) Erick Silva (18-6, 1NC) vs. Nordine Taleb (10-3) Vitor Miranda (11-4) vs. Marcelo Guimaraes (9-1-1) Darren Elkins (19-5) vs. Chas Skelly (15-1) Preliminary Card Diego Sanchez (25-8) vs. Jim Miller (25-7, 1NC) Justin Salas (12-6) vs. Jason Saggo (10-2) Julian Erosa (15-2) vs. Teruto Ishihara (7-2-2)   Wanderlei Silva wants fight with Fedor Emelianenko, negotiating with Bellator and Rizin Despite the NSAC recent changing Wanderlei Silva’s lifetime ban to a three-year suspension, the Brazilian is looking to return to action much sooner than that. Per Combate, Silva revealed that he’s not only negotiating with Bellator and Rizin, but he’s also looking at a potential bout with Fedor Emelianenko. “I was upset with everything, having to go to Supreme Court, going to the justice, lawyers, it all took my desire to fight away. I was upset with all that because I’m an idol, I’m recognized all over the world, and I want to be treated as such, not as an outlaw. The commission creates problems so they can come up with a solution. In my opinion, that’s completely wrong. They should review they whole statute and legislation, because that’s wrong. I had a meeting with Nobuyuki Sakakibara, and he’s super interested in bringing me back to Japan, he said the Japanese are anxious to see me compete again. We’re also flirting with Bellator,” he said with a laugh. “They want to make a deal together so I can fight in Japan and here in the United States, and I would fight for both promotions. I’m negotiating an exhibition fight in Rizin on April 17. They offered me a jiu-jitsu match, two versus two. It would be Team Wanderlei, Andre Dida and I, against a team from Japan. I’m also negotiating a tournament in Japan, in which I would fight in September and come back in December for two fights in one night. That’s the plan for 2016.”I really want to fight again in Japan. The Japanese promotion created Wanderlei Silva… I ended my career a while ago for disgust, not because I couldn’t do it physically or mentally, but for disgust. But I think this time off made me really like it again, and I’m really happy that I’m feeling this desire to fight again. Like I said, I’m in negotiation to come back to fighting in Japan and I really want big challenges. There’s a possibility of fighting Fedor, who is an opponent I would really like to fight. I’m not just talking, but can’t be the first one, right?” said “The Axe Murderer”. “Now that I haven’t fought in two years, I can’t get him right away. I need to do some fights first, get my rhythm back, and when the promotion thinks it’s time and I feel I’m in a good rhythm, I would really want to test myself against him, for sure. I’ve fought the best in the world but him. I would really like to test myself against him. I don’t have anything against Fedor, but I would like to test myself and see how it goes.”   Cyril Asker vs. Jared Cannonier set for UFC Fight Night 86  UFC officials announced Monday that a heavyweight matchup between Cyril Asker vs. Jared Cannonier has been added to the April UFC card in Croatia. Asker (7-1) makes his UFC debut and comes into this bout winning five-straight fights. Cannonier (7-1) was unsuccessful in his UFC debut when lost via knockout to Shawn Jordan at UFC 182 in January 2015. The loss snapped Cannonier’s seven-fight win streak. UFC Fight Night 86 takes place April 10 at Zagreb Arena in Zagreb, Croatia. Here’s an updated look at the event. Junior Dos Santos vs. Ben Rothwell Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Ruslan Magomedov Jan Blachowicz vs. Igor Pokrajac Bojan Mihajlovic vs. Francis Ngannou Nicolas Dalby vs. Bartosz Fabinski Timothy Johnson vs. Marcin Tybura Alessio Di Chirico vs. Bojan Velickovic Filip Pejic vs. Damian Stasiak Damir Hadzovic vs. Mairbek Taisumov Cyril Asker vs. Jared Cannonier
