Bellator 143’s LC Davis: ‘Joe Warren has a limited approach’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 143 bantamweight LC Davis as he prepares for his upcoming main event bout this Friday night (September 25, 2015) against Joe Warren at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.

The former WEC standout has turned his career around with a recent resurgence, and he feels he has the tools to outperform Warren come Friday night:

“I’m more well round-ed than [Joe Warren]. He gets the job done, but he only has so many tools and I feel like I have more tools. I feel like he has a limited approach… I think he’s so aggressive that he leaves a lot of opening. He’s stuck in his ways and he gets the job done with his style, but that style leaves a lot of openings. His stand-up’s not the best and he’s so aggressive that he puts himself in harms way a lot of the time. I feel like I’m gonna be able to capitalize on that. I think I’m gonna have a huge advantage standing up. I’m just as athletic as him and I’m a good wrestler too. If I was him, I’d be worried. His strength is his wrestling and his weakness is stand-up and obviously he’s at a disadvantage against someone with good stand-up and I feel like that’s me. I’m confident in this fight.”
