TUF 21 Finale’s Fights to Avoid Betting

BlancoTUF 21 Finale Date: July 12, 2015 Arena: MGM Grand Garden Arena City: Las Vegas, NV The Ultimate Fighter Season 21 Finale will be live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas this Sunday night (July 12th, 2015). The event will be headlined by a five round welterweight contest between Jake “The Juggernaut” Ellenberger and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. If interested on making this parlay or any wagers on this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. My Fights to AVOID betting for the TUF 21 Finale are: Welterweight bout: Jake “The Juggernaut” Ellenberger (+180) vs Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson (-220) Gabe’s Thoughts: “Wonderboy” will be looking to extend his four fight winning streak to five, while Ellenberger hopes to string a pair together after snapping a three fight losing skid with a second round north-south-choke submission of Josh Koscheck at UFC 184. I find this to be a tough fight to call, especially considering the fact that it’s a five round main event. I could see this fight playing out several different ways, but as for a pick, I slightly lean towards Thompson, but as for a bet, I don’t see any value in him at his current asking price of -220 to pull the trigger on him in a parlay. For me, this will be one fight to avoid at the sportsbooks next Sunday night. Gabe’s Call: Thompson by T/KO (strikes, 4:18 round 2) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID Featherweight bout: Maximo Blanco (-150) vs Mike De La Torre (+130) Gabe’s Thoughts: I agree with the current betting odds and think they are spot on. I see this as being a closely contested bout and slightly favor Blanco to get his hand raised; most likely on the judges’ scorecards following three competitive rounds of action. Blanco will be looking to make it three in a row and De La Torre will be aiming to string two together with a first round knockout of Tiago dos Santos, snapping the Brazilian’s impressive 10-fight winning streak. I am expecting Blanco vs De La Torre to be an entertaining featherweight scrap, but as far as my wallet is concerned, I’m going to be avoiding this one, as I don’t see any value on either side. Gabe’s Call: Blanco by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID
