michelle_waterson6.1349203255TUF 21 Finale Date: July 12, 2015 Arena: MGM Grand Garden Arena City: Las Vegas, NV The Ultimate Fighter Season 21 Finale will be live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas this Sunday night (July 12th, 2015). The event will be headlined by a five round welterweight contest between Jake “The Juggernaut” Ellenberger and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any bouts on this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are a pair of parlays for the TUF 21 Finale: Women’s Strawweight bout: Michelle Waterson (-600) vs Angela Magana (+450) Gabe’s Thoughts: “The Karate Hottie” is set to make her Octagon debut after losing her Invicta FC atomweight title to Herica Tiburico, and she is eager to get back into the win column in impressive fashion against the Thailand-based American, Magana. I think Waterson is the better fighter everywhere in this contest and see her dominating Magana. I see her either finishing this fight or winning a dominant, one-sided unanimous decision. Waterson is just worlds better than Magana, and even at her juicy price of -600, I think there is a lot of value in her, as I think she should be a -1200 favorite heading into this women’s 115-pound affair. I expect “The Karate Hottie” to get the job done on Sunday night in impressive fashion, earning her first UFC victory, while likely sending Magana packing from the promotion. Gabe’s Call: Waterson (armbar, 4:14 round 1) Bantamweight bout: Russell Doane (-380) vs Jerrod Sanders (+315) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Doane is the superior mixed martial artist heading into this 135-pound contest and see him getting the better of Sanders everywhere. The only area where Sanders might be better is the wrestling department, though I think Doane would manage to either secure a reversal/submission or find his way back to his feet, should he find himself on his back with Sanders in top control. I think Doane is the smarter fighter and has more routes to victory in this contest. The only way I could see Sanders winning is if Doane shows up to the fight very sick and Sanders manages to blanket him long enough for a razor-thin split decision win. However, I think the chances of that happening are incredibly low. At his current betting tag of -380, I think there is a lot of value in Doane, as I think he should be a -650 favorite heading into this bout. I favor him to finish Sanders, but should he fail to put him away by either T/KO or submission, I think he convincingly picks up a unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards. Gabe’s Call: Doane by Submission (rear naked choke, 2:02 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Parlays: 1) Waterson (-600) and Doane (-380) at -212 for 5u to win 2.36u, 2) Waterson/Magana Under 2.5 rounds (+120) anjd Doane/Sanders Under 1.5 rounds (+145) at +439 1.3u to win 5.7u
