Pair of Parlays for UFC Fight Night 69 in Berlin

yuta-sasakiUFC Fight Night 69 Date: June 20, 2015 Arena: O2 World Arena City: Berlin, Germany The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Berlin, Germany this Saturday, June 20th for UFC Fight Night 79: Jędrzejczyk vs Penne. The event will feature 11 bouts in entirety, with a four-fight main card kicking off at 3pm ET and seven-fight preliminary card getting going at 12pm ET. All of the action will be live on UFC Fight Pass, and if interested on making this parlay or any wagers on this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are a pair of parlays for UFC Fight Night 69 in Berlin: Women’s Strawweight title bout: Jessica Penne (+550) vs Joanna Jędrzejczyk (-800) Gabe’s Thoughts: I am with the majority in thinking that “Joanna Champion” will simply outclass Penne on the feet in this contest, most likely earning a T/KO stoppage within the 25 minutes of Championship action. I think the Pole finds success in stuffing Penne’s takedown attemps, keeping the fight on the feet and just battering her. I could see her finishing her with strikes on the feet, as well as on the mat via ground and pound, despite Penne being a threat on the mat. The reason for that is because I think Jędrzejczyk is going to wear Penne down on the feet, and eventually Penne will be too defeated, mentally and physically, to be able to be effective with her submission game. I could see the fight hitting the mat in the later rounds, where the fresher fighter in Jędrzejczyk pours on a vicious ground and pound until the referee is forced to intervene and half the action. I think Jędrzejczyk makes a success title defense tomorrow in Berlin, and even at the juicy price of -800, I feel confident tossing it in a parlay. Gabe’s Call: “Joanna Champion” by T/KO (strikes, 3:44 round 4) Featherweight bout: Masio Fullen (+195) vs Makwan Amirkhani (-235) Gabe’s Thoughts: In short, I think Amirkhani is the superior fighter heading into this 145-pound contest, as well as the more hungry fighter. Should this fight hit the judges’ scorecards for a decision, I favor Amirkhani to pick up a unanimous 30-27 nod. That said, I think he ends this fight inside the distance more often than not. He is going to be looking for the finish, and I think there’s a good chance he finds it. Gabe’s Call: Amirkhani by Submission (rear naked choke, 4:44, round 1) Bantamweight bout: Taylor Lapilus (+220) vs Ulka Sasaki (-260) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Sasaki scores a takedown early in the first frame and secures a submission finish before the halfway point of the stanza. Should he fail to secure a finish, I think his grappling advantage will be the difference in the fight, as I think he would be on top of Lapilus throughout the entire 15 minutes of action, searching for submissions the entire time. I think the outcome of this match-up depends on how Lapilus’ submission defense holds up against the Japanese fighter. In his debut in the UFC’s bantamweight division, I think Lapilus is about to have the first taste of Octagon defeat. Gabe’s Call: Sasaki by Submission (rear naked choke, 1:37 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Parlays: Jędrzejczyk (-800), Amirkhani (-235) and Sasaki (-260) at -103 for 5u to win 6.1u and Fullen/Amirkhani Under 2.5 rounds (-135) and Lapilus/Sasaki Under 1.5 rounds (+120) at +282 for 2.3u to win 6.5u
