UFC 185’s Daron Cruickshank: ‘Beneil Dariush’s overconfidence will get him knocked out’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 185 lightweight Daron Cruickshank about his upcoming preliminary card bout this Saturday night (March 14, 2015) against Beneil Dariush at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

The talented former Ultimate Fighter season 15 cast member believes he has a favorable match-up against Dariush, and he’ll be able to fight the prospect his way:

“I think he’s a great up and coming guy. He’s known for his jiu-jitsu. He’s got a really good game as far as taking the back. I don’t think he’ll have such an easy time taking me down especially when I’m chucking my hands. From what I’ve seen, he’s a rusher. He charges in with knees and stuff like that. He doesn’t really work his way in or try to draw me out so I’m basically going to fight a southpaw like I want to fight a southpaw…I think he’s overconfident in his ability on his feet. And that’s going to get him knocked out.”
