Five Crazy UFC Fight Night 61 Prop Bets That Cashed Big

Matt-Dwyer Five crazy prop bets is a column featured on after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here’s five crazy UFC Fight Night 61 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Sam Alvey wins by T/KO (+465)/Alvey wins in round 1 (+825) In a fight where a knockout artist was fighting a more talented fighter with a suspect chin, Sam Alvey prevailed as he was able to finish Cezar Ferreira in the first round via knockout. Alvey has a ton of KO power and no one should take this man lightly ever again. The props on Alvey by T/KO and Alvey wins in round 1 cashed at +465 and +825, respectively. Adriano Martins wins by decision (+800) In a fight that could have gone either way on the judges’ scorecards, Adriano Martins did just enough to edge out a split decision win over Rustam Khabilov. This was a terrible fight where neither man did much of anything, but Martins had a few key takedowns at the right times to get the win, and to cash the prop bet of Martins by decision at a healthy +800. Frankie Saenz wins by decision (+957) In one of the biggest upsets in a long time, Frankie Saenz outwrestled and outworked Iuri Alcantara en route to a unanimous decision victory. Saenz was able to get takedowns easier than most expected in the fight and control Alcantara on the mat to pick up the biggest win of his career. The prop on Saenz to win by decision cashed at a massive +957. Marion Reneau wins by submission (+1175)/ Reneau wins in round 1 (+1175) Once again Marion Reneau was the underdog and once again she prevailed with the upset win, this time submitting Jessica Andrade in the first round with a triangle choke. Reneau is a dangerous opponent for anyone in the women’s bantamweight division and no one should sleep on her ever again. The props on Reneau by submission and Reneau wins in round 1 each cashed at a robust +1175. Matt Dwyer wins by T/KO (+750)/Dwyer wins in round 1 (+900) In one of the biggest shockers of a night full of them, Matt Dwyer knocked out William Macario in the first round with a superman punch. Dwyer got no respect from the betting public heading into this one but he proved with the win he is a guy you can’t sleep on going forward. The props on Dwyer wins by T/KO and Dwyer wins in round 1 hit at +750 and +900, respectively.
