UFC Fight Night 60’s Max Holloway: ‘Cole Miller is a very deceiving guy’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 60 featherweight Max Holloway about his upcoming  co-main event bout Saturday night (Feb. 14, 2015) against Cole Miller at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.

The talented 23-year old expects a very tough challenge against Miller, and it’s not just Miller’s vaunted Brazilian jiu-jitsu game he’s keeping an eye out for, but also the sneaky power in his right hand while standing:

“His jiu-jitsu is something to be worried about, he’s a black belt in jiu-jitsu. He likes to get in people’s head. He’s kind of like Conor McGregor but not loud about it. Every time I watch him fight, his opponents hate him. I guess he’s good with his mouth and gets into his opponent’s minds, I’d say. That’s outside of the ring, but inside the Octagon, I’d say his jiu-jitsu is very good and his stand-up is very underrated. I’ve been watching his fights and a lot of people he submits, he hurt them first. He’s got a sneaky right hand that people don’t account for. They stand in front of it, they get hit and the next thing they know they’re falling over and they’re getting rear naked choked or something. He’s a very deceiving guy.”
