Bellator 132’s Georgi Karakhanyan: ‘I won’t underestimate Bubba Jenkins’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 133 featherweight Georgi Karakhanyan as he prepares for his upcoming co-main event bout against Bubba Jenkins this Friday (January 16, 2015) at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California.

The former World Series of Fighting featherweight champion is looking to start anew in his second stint with Bellator and it all begins with a fighter he’s pretty familiar with:

“I’ve watched a lot of tape on [Bubba Jenkins] and I watched his last two fights. He has evolved and in the past I trained with him when I was getting ready to fight Lance Palmer. We trained like 3-4 days. We didn’t do anything crazy. We wrestled. He gave me advice, I gave him advice and that’s about it. I’m not going to underestimate him. I know he’s a great wrestler and I watched some of his wrestling videos but this is mixed martial arts. I’m going in there well-prepared and I’m ready for a three round war.”
