Your Best Bets for UFC Fight Night 58’s ‘Fight of the Night’

UFC-Fight-Night-28-Elias-SilverioUFC Fight Night 58 Date: December 20, 2014 Arena: Jose Correa Arena City: Barueri, Brazil The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Brazil tonight (Dec. 20, 2014) with UFC Fight Night 58 and will be featuring 12 bouts, including a six fight main card that will be live on FOX Sports 1 at 10pm ET, with a four fight preliminary card that will precede it on the same channel at 8pm ET, and a pair of scraps preceding that on UFC Fight Pass at 7pm ET. To place a wager on this prop, or any others for UFC 181, you may do so at Several Bookmakerss. I believe these UFC Fight Night 58 ‘FOTN’ contenders hold the most value: Silverio/Magomedov +500 — I think this is going to be an excellent match-up in the UFC’s 155 pound division, as I believe both lightweights can make it a fight against anyone in the top of the division. I would not be surprised to see both of them manage to crack the division’s top 15 rankings at some point. This will be the fourth Octagon outing for Silverio and the third for Magomedov, who have both previously competed in the welterweight division. Should they take home the evening’s ‘Fight of the Night’ honors, it would mean the first time for both lightweights. I expect this to be a competitive and incredibly entertaining bout that will most likely go the full three round distance for a judges’ decision. Silva/Rhodes +575 — This is another scrap between a couple of well-rounded mixed martial artists who are very talented and still have room to improve. I think this fight will go the full 15 minute distance for a judges’ decision, but regardless of how long it lasts, I think it will be fireworks. I expect a fast paced first round of action between these two, and I think they will survive the round, and then we will see a slower paced but still entertaining rounds two and three. Should these welterweights take home the evening’s ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus, it would mean the first time for Rhodes, while being the third for Silva, who picked one up in defeats to Jon Fitch and Matt Brown, respectively.
