The talented Hawaiian makes his training camp home in the 209 with the Diaz brothers, and he explains why he feels so comfortable traveling so far to get his pre-fight preparation in:
“My team I represent is Nick Diaz academy. They’ve helped me progress so much as a mixed martial artist. I pay homage to Nick and Nate because Nate will always open his house to me, treat me like a brother. He’s done things for me to help me progress in my career like only family does. Coming from Hawaii and transferring over to California, they’re like brothers. It’s like I’m not even leaving my family, I’m just going to a different house with different family members. It’s really comfortable. It’s not something I’m ever gonna stop doing.”
