Bellator 117’s Rick Hawn: ‘I’m confident in my striking against Douglas Lima’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 117 welterweight Rick Hawn as he prepares for his main event title bout tonight (April 18, 2014) against Douglas Lima at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

The former judo Olympian knows he’ll be the significantly smaller fighter inside the cage, but he still believes in his hands against the talented Brazilian:

“I can play outside at distance and I’m confident in my striking against his. I think that I match up well with that. I’m smaller. I’m faster. I think I have some advantages in terms of striking. We’ll see how he reacts to everything.”
