UFC 167’s Evan Dunham: ‘I’m not going to the judges against Donald Cerrone’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 167 lightweight Evan Dunham as he prepares for his preliminary card bout tomorrow night (Nov. 16, 2013) against Donald Cerrone at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The talented Xtreme Couture fighter was on the receiving end of a controversial decision loss his last time around, and he’s hoping to have made the necessary steps to avert the judges this weekend.

“In my opinion, [Cerrone’s] coming off a loss to dos Anjos and I’m not. It was just a couple of dumb judges who decided to take half my money that night. (laughs) After the Gleison Tibau fight, I was very confident I won but when they announced my name, it was a surprise to me because you don’t know what they’re gonna do. At this point, I’ve talked to so many guys and I used to get down on it like, ‘What if they gave me the decision? Where would I be career-wise?’ Almost every guy at a high level has been technically robbed at some point. I kind of look past that stuff now and I plan on going out there and not letting it go to the judges this fight.”
