DWTNCS Season 2 Week 5 Closing Odds and Betting Results

Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series Season 2 Week 5 took place tonight (Tuesday, July 17, 2018). The card was headlined by a strawweight bout between Maycee Barber and Jamie Colleen.

Closing odds are courtesy of a combination of sportsbooks. Here’s a quick recap of each of those fights.

Favorites that Won

Maycee Barber dominated her fight from start to finish over Jamie Colleen earning a third round stoppage. Barber impressed UFC decision makers with her thorough victory earning a UFC contract. Barber closed -470. Colleen closed +375.

In a fight where neither fighter was able to land anything fight-altering, Chibwikem Onyenegecha was the aggressor giving him the slight nod by the judges as he won by split decision over Anthony Adams. Onyenegecha closed -177 with Adams closing +161.

Edmen Shahbazyan came out fast in his bout against Antonio Jones and made quick work earning the knockout victory in under a minute. Shahbazyan closed -230 while Jones closed +195. With the quick finish, Shahbazyan earned a UFC contract.

Underdogs that Won

Domingo Pilarte was cut badly at the end of round and the fight was nearly called off. He started strong in round two, earning a takedown, and finding a way to earn a submission victory over Vince Morales and a UFC contract. Pilarte closed +260 while Morales closed -320.

Pickem Fighters that Won

In perhaps the best fight of the season, Austin Vanderford was dropped in the first round by Angelo Trevino and close to finished, but turned it around in the second round to earn a submission victory. Both fighters closed -110 in an exciting, back-and-forth contest.
