LFA 38 Opening Betting Odds

LFA 38 takes place at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Friday (Apr. 27, 2018) at 9pm ET live on AXS TV. Heavyweight champion Jeff Hughes makes the first defense of his title as he takes on Maurice Greene.

Hughes (6-1) captured the LFA heavyweight title in his last bout when he defeated Richard Odoms at LFA 26 in November. The 29-year-old, Strong Style MMA product’s lone loss in his career was a 2016 TKO setback to PFL’s Dan Spohn. He’ll be looking for his first stoppage victory since Jan. 2016. Greene (5-1) heads into this matchup on a four-fight win streak, with all of those victories coming by way of stoppage. The 31-year-old has only gone the distance twice in his six-fight career.

The co-main event pits undefeatd middleweight Bevon Lewis against Colin Huckbody.

Lewis (4-0) hasn’t competed since a July 2017 TKO victory over TUF’s Elias Urbina at Dana White’s Contender Series 8. The 26-year-old has knocked out two of his last three opponents. Huckbody (3-1) makes his LFA debut and is coming off a first-round submission win over Ryot Waller at No Mercy 7 in February. “Young Huck” has never gone the distance in his career.
