MMA Odds and Ends for Thursday: Andre Soukhamthath now faces Luke Sanders at UFC Fresno

UFC officials announced that Andre Soukhamthath has stepped up to face Luke Sanders at UFC Fight Night 123 which takes place at SaveMart Center in Fresno on Dec. 9. Sanders original opponent Bryan Caraway had to pull out due to injury.

Soukhamthath (11-5) will be looking for his first UFC victory after being shutout in his first two UFC appearances against Albert Morales and Alejando Perez. The former CES bantamweight champion had won three fights by knockout prior to signing with the UFC.

Sanders (11-1) is coming off the first loss of his career to Iuri Alcantara when he was submitted in the second round. Here’s an updated look at the card.

With Derek Anderson injured, David Rickels now faces Adam Piccolotti at Bellator 189

David Rickels will replace the injured Derek Anderson against Adam Piccolotti at Bellator 189 on Dec. 1

Rickels (18-4) is coming off TKO win over Aaron Derrow at Bellator 171 in January. “The Caveman” heads into this matchup off back-to-back wins.
