UFC light heavyweight contender Volkan Oezdemir arrested on battery charge in Florida Per MMAJunkie, UFC light heavyweight contender Volkan Oezdemir was arrested Saturday and charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Oezdemir (15-1) has gone 3-0 in the UFC, most recently finishing Jimi Manuwa at UFC 214 and was rumored to be fighting Daniel Cormier at UFC 220 in Boston on Jan. 20. In addition the Combat Club fighter is being held on a $10,000 bond and according to the report says a person commits aggravated battery if he “intentionally or knowingly causes great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement.” Stay tuned to MMAOddsBreaker for more details on this story.
