MMA Odds and Ends for Wednesday: Andre Fili now faces newcomer Calvin Kattar at UFC 214

MMA-Today broke the news last week — and UFC officials confirmed Tuesday — that Calvin Kattar will replace Dooho Choi against Andre Fili on July 29th’s UFC 214 event at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

Kattar (16-2) heads into his promotional debut on an eight-fight win streak, including a decision victory over Chris Foster at CES MMA 38 in September. The 29-year-old boasts nine career wins by stoppage in 16 fights.

Filli (16-4) is coming off a unanimous-decision victory over Hacran Dias at UFC Fight Night 96 in October. The 27-year-old has gone 4-3 during his UFC tenure.
