UFC Fight Night 111: Holm vs. Correia

Arena: Singapore Indoor Stadium
City: Singapore

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be returning to Singapore for the second time in promotional history this Saturday (June 17, 2017) with UFC Fight Night 111: Holm vs. Correia. The 12-fight card will be broadcast entirely on UFC Fight Pass, with preliminary action kicking off at 4:30 a.m. (ET) and the main card starting at 8 a.m. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this card, all betting lines are available at Several Bookmakers.

Here are my live dogs for the UFC Fight Night 111 prelims…

Heavyweight bout: Walt Harris (-345) vs. Cyril Asker (+285)

Gabe’s Thoughts: I favor Harris to win this fight, be it inside the distance or on the judges’ scorecards. However, I do not agree with the current betting odds and see this heavyweight affair as a “dog or pass” situation. I think the dog here is worth a play at his current offering price of +285, as I think he should be in the +150 to +180 area. While I favor Harris to get his hand raised, there is no way I can back him at the current price. He is generally a heavyweight who is worth fading, and considering the odds, this may be an okay spot to do so. I don’t believe Asker is a UFC-caliber heavyweight, but I think he is capable of getting the job done against Harris. I think Harris is the superior mixed martial artist of the two, but I could see things playing in Asker’s favor. I can see him finishing Harris here or grinding out a decision, so the +285 betting line is tough to pass up.

Gabe’s Call: Harris by T/KO (strikes, 1:45 round 1)

Gabe’s Recommended Play: Asker (+285)

Featherweight bout: Alex Caceres (-325) vs. Rolando Dy (+265)

Gabe’s Thoughts: Dy is making his promotional debut against Caceres, who will be looking to snap a two-fight losing skid. This is an important fight for both fighters, as Caceres wants to save his job, and Dy wants to make an impression in his debut. I am a big “Bruce Leeroy” fan, but I think this is a winnable matchup for Dy. I’ll just say that I do not agree with the betting odds for this bout and see great value in Dy at his current offering underdog price of +265.

Gabe’s Call: Dy by T/KO (body-kick, 2:06 round 1)

Gabe’s Recommended Play: Dy (+265)
