MMAOddsBreaker’s Submission of the Month for April 2017

MMAOddsBreaker.com‘s Submission of the Month for April 2017 goes to Brandon Moreno at UFC Fight Night 108 in Nashville, TN on April 22nd.

The Mexican was 2-0 in the UFC heading into his third Octagon appearance against hometown favorite Dustin Ortiz. After a round-and-a-half of very competitive action where Ortiz appeared to be ahead, Moreno dropped him with a head-kick and followed him to the canvas. Quickly taking the back of Ortiz, Moreno began hunting for a rear-naked choke. After multiple attempts, he finally sunk it in deep with under a minute remaining in the stanza and forced a referee stoppage, ultimately earning the victory by technical submission. It was yet another impressive performance and outing by the Mexican flyweight, who now enjoys a three-fight winning streak in the UFC with 11 straight victories overall. This marked Moreno’s biggest win to date, and what makes the submission especially impressive is the fact he is the first fighter to ever stop Ortiz. Congratulations, Brandon Moreno!
