Your Best Bets for UFC Fight Night 108’s ‘Fight of the Night’

UFC Fight Night 108: Swanson vs. Lobov
Date: April 22, 2017
Arena: Bridgestone Arena
City: Nashville, TN

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads back to Nashville, TN for the fourth time in promotional history this Saturday (April 22, 2017) with UFC Fight Night 108: Swanson vs. Lobov. The 13-fight card is set to kick off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 6:30 p.m. ET, which follows on FX at 8 p.m., with the main card kicking off on the same channel at 10 p.m. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are available at Several Bookmakers.

The “Fight of the Night” plays that hold the most value are:

Lauzon/Ray +600 1u to win 6u

Joe Lauzon is almost always involved in highly entertaining scraps, and I expect this one to be no different. Stevie Ray is no stranger to putting on shows himself, so I think the pair have a good chance of producing fireworks this evening. Lauzon is coming off a controversial split-decision win over Marcin Held and looks to make it two straight against Ray, who is coming off a split-decision win over Ross Pearson and looks for his second straight. Should these 155-pounders walk away with ‘Fight of the Night’ honors, it would be the eighth time for Lauzon while being a first for Ray.

Ortiz/Moreno +550 1u to win 5.5u

These flyweights are expected to put on a battle in Music City, which is Dustin Ortiz’s backyard. He will be welcoming Brandon Moreno on his home turf and will be looking to pick up his second straight victory inside the Octagon while Moreno will be in search of his third straight. Ortiz and Moreno are two 125-pounders who are generally involved in entertaining fights, and stylistically, I think they are going to produce another one tonight. The crowd will be heavily into it as well, considering Ortiz is a true hometown boy. Should these flyweights manage to take home the evening’s ‘Fight of the Night’ honors, it would mean the first time for both of them.

2017 FOTN results: 3–3-4 for +8.5u
