Live Dogs for UFC 206

DoberUFC 206: Holloway vs Pettis Date: December 10, 2016 Arena: Air Canada Centre City: Toronto, Ontario, Canada The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads to Toronto, Ontario, Canada for the fifth time in promotional history with UFC 206: Holloway vs Pettis. The 12-fight card is set to get going with Fight Pass prelims at 6:30pm ET, and preliminary action will continue on FOX Sports 1 at 8pm, with the main card getting underway on Pay Per View at 10pm. If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakers. Here are my live dogs: Lightweight title bout: Olivier Aubin-Mercier (-165) vs Drew Dober (+145) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think this is a closely contested match-up in the UFC’s 155-pound division and it is worth noting that OAB owns a unanimous decision victory over Dober’s training partner Tony Smith, so his coaches may have a good gameplan for him going into this one. OAB will undoubtedly have the grappling edge heading into this contest, but Dober will have the advantage on the feet, and I think that as long as he can keep the fight there, he will outpoint OAB for three rounds en route to a unanimous decision win on the judges’ scorecards, potentially securing a T/KO stoppage along the way. Coming off a first round knockout of Jason Gonzalez, Dober’s confidence should be high heading into this one, and I expect a solid showing from him on enemy soil in Canada. Gabe’s Call: Dober by T/KO (punches, 1:32 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Dober (+145) 1.4u to win 1.45u Lightweight bout: Rustam Khabilov (-200) vs Jason Saggo (+170) Gabe’s Thoughts: This is another closely contested 155-pound match-up on the UFC 206 fight card this weekend and I believe we are looking at a “dog or pass” situation. At +170, I am going to have to make a move on the underdog here, as I think he stands a good chance of outstriking Khabilov for two out of three rounds in this contest to earn a decision win. At the moment, I slightly lean towards Khabilov getting his hand raised, but I think the value is with Saggo and am opting to make a move. Gabe’s Call: Khabilov by Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Saggo (+170) 1u to win 1.7u All of my content and plays are free. Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
