If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at 5Dimes Sportsbook. Here are my live dogs: Lightweight title bout: Eddie Alvarez (+135) vs Conor McGregor (-155) Gabe’s Thoughts: I believe Alvarez is the superior fighter heading into this title fight and think he should be a 2-to-1 betting faovirte, so I see great value in him at his current offering underdog price of +135. I can see him beating McGregor numerous ways and feel he has more routes to victory, whereas I think McGregor’s main chance at defeating Alvarez is to stop him with strikes early. I think Alvarez is also capable of stopping McGregor early in this fight and feel that could come to fruition on Saturday night. Over the course of five rounds of action, I do favor the battle tested veteran in Alvarez to come out on top. Bottom line, I will be making a value play on the underdog whom I believe should be favored at 2-to-1. Gabe’s Call: Alvarez by T/KO (punches, 2:09 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Alvarez (+135) 3u to win 4.05u Women’s Strawweight bout: Joana Jedrzejczyk (-410) vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz Gabe’s Thoughts: In short, I think this fight is a lot closer than the betting odds currently suggest. I really like the challenger for a value play at +330 here. A lot of people are counting her out and I think she can realistically pull out the victory on Saturday night. Gabe’s Call: Kowalkiwicz by Unanimoujs Decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Kowalkiewicz (+330) 3u to win 9.9u
