GLORY 35 Opening Betting Odds

glory-35The French Riviera will play host to Glory 35 on Saturday, as Glory travels to Nice, France to have some of their bigger fighters compete. The light heavyweight title will be on the line in the main event of the eveing, as current champion Artem Vakhitov will look to unify his belt with the interim version held by Zack Mwekassa. Back at Glory 28, Vakhitov was able to defeat Saulo Cavalari to capture the title, but has not competed since. Mwekassa captured the interim belt at Glory 31 against Mourad Bouzidi, after previously falling to Cavalari in his first attempt at a Glory title. The co-main event could determine the next light heavyweight title challenger, as Zinedine Hameur Lain looks for his third consecutive Glory victory against Pavel Zhuravlev. Hameur Lain’s only loss in Glory has come to Mwekassa, so wins for each of them could set up a rematch for the 209lb belt. The other feature on Glory 35 is a heavyweight contender tournament with some very recognizable names. Benjamin Adegbuyi is 5-2 in Glory, with both losses coming to heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven. A tournament win here would give him another shot at the title, which may be held by Verhoeven or Badr Hari by that time after their massive showdown on December 10th. Adegbuyi will have to get past Hedsey Gerges in the first round of the tournament. The former It’s Showtime heavyweight champion has struggled of late, losing his past three fights in Glory, including a decision to Adegbuyi back at Glory 18. The other side of the bracket sees Jahfarr Wilnis look to finally capture a Glory contender’s tournament after falling the finals of his previous two. His first test will be Mladen Brestovac, who knocked him out back at Glory 14. Oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opening the betting odds for Glory 35 today at Several Bookmakers.
