Five Props that Cashed Big at UFC Fight Night 96

ion_cutelaba_newFive Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here’s five UFC Fight Night 96 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. 1) Lineker by Decision (+500) John Lineker went five rounds with John Dodson and defeated him via split decision on the judges’ scorecards. Both fighters had their moments but it was Lineker landing the more damaging strikes over the course of the 25 minutes of action. Congratulations to you if you were on this prop, especially if you tailed me, as it was one of the plays I recommended betting in my props article for the card. 2) Oliveira by T/KO (+660) Alex Oliveira defeated former Bellator lightweight champion Will Brooks via third round TKO. It was a close fight until the third round, where an injury to Brooks’ rib sustained in the opening stanza allowed Oliveira to take over the final round. Oliveira secured superior position with Brooks on the canvas and managed to get a TKO stoppage. Post-fight antics aside, it was a solid performance by the Brazilian “Cowboy” and it allowed his bettors to cash out at a very nice +660, so congrats to you if you were on that train. 3) Moreno by Submission (+1780) Brandon Moreno made a picture-perfect UFC debut, submitting Louis Smolka with a guillotine choke in the opening round of action. The Mexican was in complete control of the bout from the opening bell and when he found the Hawaiian’s neck, it was only a matter of time until he got the tap. If you were wise enough to be on this prop, then man, congrats! That cashed out at a whopping +1780! 4) Ottow by Decision (+485) Zak Ottow defeated veteran Josh Burkman via split decision on the judges’ scorecards in his short notice promotional debut. It was a back and forth scrap that saw both fighters have their moments but Ottow seemd to land the cleaner shots over the course of the 25 minutes of action to earn the nod from two of three judges at Octagon-side. If you were riding with Ottow to take this on the cards, then congrats for cashing out at a nice +485! 5) Cutelaba by Decision (+540) Ion Cutelaba defeated Jonathan Wilson via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards following an entertaining 15 minutes of back and forth action on the feet. It was a fun striking battle that saw both light heavyweights have their moments but it was Cutelaba dictating Octagon control and landing the heavier shots. If you were backing Cutelaba to win this fight on the judges’ scorecards, i congratulate you for cashing out at a very nice +540 here. A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $3,209,556.
